Comprehensive Training for Critical Situations:
Our Anaphylaxis Course is designed to provide essential training for effectively handling emergencies involving severe allergic reactions. This course includes CPR and AED training, ensuring that participants are well-equipped to manage a range of critical situations.
Course Content: Part 1: CPR & AED
The Aims of First Aid: Understanding the primary goals and principles of first aid. Dealing with Emergencies: Learning the steps to take when faced with an emergency. Responsibilities of a First Aider: Knowing the roles and duties of a first aider in various scenarios.
CPR & AED for Adults and Children: Gaining skills to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use automated external defibrillators on both adults and children.
Care of an Unconscious Casualty: Learning how to properly care for and monitor an unconscious individual.
Recovery Position: Demonstration and practice of placing a casualty in the recovery position.
Choking: Treatment procedures for a choking casualty.
Part 2: Anaphylactic Shock
Definition of Anaphylaxis: Understanding what anaphylaxis is and how it affects the body.
Body’s Response to an Allergen: Learning about the physiological response during an allergic reaction.
Causes & Prevalence: Identifying common causes and the frequency of anaphylactic reactions.
Signs & Symptoms: Recognizing the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis. Use of EpiPen® and Jext Adrenaline Auto-injector Devices:
Who can use them and under what circumstances.
How they are administered.
Legal implications of administering adrenaline auto-injectors. Practice using training devices.
Complications: Understanding the potential need for CPR as casualties may stop breathing during an anaphylactic reaction.
Questions and Answers: An open session for addressing any queries and concerns. Additional Information
This course is delivered face-to-face and can be held at your workplace. The training is split into two main parts, allowing for a comprehensive yet manageable learning experience.
Duration: The entire course runs for approximately 4 to 3.5 hours, fitting seamlessly into your working day with options for morning, afternoon, or midday sessions.
Structure:
CPR & AED Training: The first part lasts around 2 hours, covering all CPR, AED, and recovery position training.
Anaphylaxis Training: After a short break, the focus shifts to allergy and anaphylaxis, taking an additional 1.5 hours.
