Does NMC accept General IELTS?

English language testing is one of the main ways you can demonstrate your ability to communicate well in English if you’re applying to join the NMC register. We currently accept two language tests: the academic International English Language Test System (IELTS) and the Occupational English Test (OET).

Which IELTS required for healthcare workers? Health Care Assistant: IELTS:

Must have a Level 5.0 Overall score on any of his tests (writing, listening, reading, and speaking must not be less than 4.5).

NURSES REQUIREMENTS:

EU or Overseas Nurses and Midwives who choose to take IELTS need to take the Academic IELTS exam and achieve a 7.0 IELTS score in reading, listening, and speaking and 6.5 IELTS score in writing with a 7.0 score overall for NMC Registration.

The NMC accept both, the paper based, and computer based IELTS Academic exams delivered at a test centre.

Is UKVI IELTS accepted for nurses in UK?

IELTS and IELTS for UKVI are accepted by both the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the General Medical Council.
